THE SABRE SYSTEM SUITS A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS

IT CAN ACCOMMODATE ANYTHING YOU THROW AT IT

IF YOU HAVE A BRIDGE THAT NEEDS MAINTAINING, THE SABRE SYSTEM IS PERFECT FOR YOU

Truth is that the Sabre System came about as a solution for maintaining and rehabilitating the world-famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. The research and development was centred around the bridge and led to further development to cover off other applications and situations.

When you think of a bridge project, you are looking at mostly large, repetitive areas on the underside and complicated areas such as lattice or box girders in arches, pylons and wind bracing. The system specialises in all of these requirements and, most importantly, it keeps the blasting operator away from hazards such as lead paint dust and asbestos. And when you consider that there are roughly 13,000 Steel Bridges in Australia, 180,000 in Europe and as many as 220,000 in the USA, the potential for a Sabre System is enormous.

BLASTING INSIDE A TANK?

We all know that tanks can be extremely dangerous to work in. Whether they be petrochemical, water or goods storage Tanks, the Sabre system will be right at home.

Very large, flat areas to blast are extremely time consuming and operators frequently suffer from fatigue in a short space of time. The Sabre System will ensure your safety and caters for any sized tank - either on it’s own or within a tank farm.

HAVE A MARINE STRUCTURE ISSUE?

Can you imagine tackling the secondary hull inside a double-hulled ship without fearing for your life? Bulk goods, cargo ships and oil tankers all have their challenges, especially getting into those tight spaces.

The three largest shipping markets are China, South Korea and Japan - there is a staggering 59 million gross tonnes in ships in 2017 alone. The Sabre system will take the stress out of blasting within a marine structure - you won’t have to worry about your safety.

SQUEEZING INTO A CONFINED SPACE?

Trying to get into a confined space is a daunting task, let alone trying to setup for blasting there.

Arguably, the confined space is the most dangerous scenario a blasting operator faces. You’ve got to think about getting the hardware into the area, having enough space to do your job and making sure you have enough breaks to stay focused on the job at hand.

The Sabre system can cram into tight spaces and never needs a break - the blast profile is always consistent and you are safe from harm, exactly where you belong.

TRYING TO SIMPLIFY BLASTING INSIDE A BLAST ROOM?

Blast Rooms come with their own set of challenges. Typically there is a need for a large quantity of abrasive when working on inticate shapes - trying to cover the entire surface area is very time consuming as well.

Thankfully the Sabre system makes this task a lot easier - not just from an abrasive point of view, but from a safety angle as well. Working on different shapes and sizes within a Blast Room means the blasting operator is constantly moving around and adjusting the angle of the blast.

WORKING IN A HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT?

Every blasting operators nightmare - a tight, hazardous environment. Can you imagine taking the risks out of the equation by investing in a Sabre system and installing it within a dangerous area? This means your safety is assured and you well get the best possible result.

Your PPE has to be first-rate to enable you to work in these areas - because the Sabre system doesn’t have lungs, it simply goes to work and you have total peace of mind.
