THE EVOLUTION OF THE REVOLUTION

THE FUTURE OF SABRE IS LOOKING VERY BRIGHT

RECOGNISING THE NEED FOR AUTOMATED ABRASIVE BLASTING

The ALPHA-1 system originally came about as a way of cleaning and maintaining the Sydney Harbour Bridge while keeping its’ workers safe from harm.

THE SABRE IS A SYSTEM WITH YEARS OF RESEARCH BEHIND IT

Way back in 2006, researchers from the Centre for Autonomous Systems at the University of Technology, Sydney and the Roads and Maritime Services NSW (RMS) began collaborating on the research and development of an autonomous grit-blasting system for steel bridge maintenance and rehabilitation.

SABRE Autonomous Solutions was established in 2013 to develop the technology for the broader abrasive blasting industry in Australia and overseas. The specialised robotic platform developed for the Sydney Harbor Bridge was then manufactured and designed into a production quality system suited to a wide range of tasks.
